a boring little update

It has been awhile since I posted and I didn't even realize it!
Not a lot has been going on in my life, besides the usual-bark park with Monty, work and working out.
My mom's birthday was  Monday, we celebrated by getting her new patio furniture and a killer brownie cheesecake from DLM and my dad bought a Harley, so those are pretty much the only two "exciting" things that have happened lately.
I haven't even gone out and done anything besides going to the park and work for days, kind of boring around here but oh wells. I've read two books in the past week and just started a new one, so at least I have that to keep me busy.
Today I haven't done much, cleaned a bit in the morning and took Monty to the bark park again. He tuckered out pretty quickly because it is pretty warm today but I made him stay for an hour because it is suppose to rain tomorrow and he'll be blue being stuck inside all day.
I really really want Rita's so perhaps I'll spend my evening eating Rita's and reading on the porch....exciting, I know.

Yay for being back!!!

I am back in Dayton!!!
We left early because
1. there was nothing left to do
2. money was low
3. I was ready to leave (this vacation stressed me out!!)
4. my dad was ready for us to come back...he has never taken care of all six animals by himself before.

Stephanie and I got coffee after I got back and I was glad to be back and hanging out with my friend! We made plans to go geocaching (thank you Dorian for telling us about it!!) on Tuesday and to hide one!! I'm sooo excited!!
Now I'm watching 500 Days of Summer though I'm about turn it off and go to bed because I'm a wuss when it comes to this movie. Despite the fact I really like it,  it is hard for me to handle. It hits a little close to home concerning a situation I'm in and makes me cry. I don't feel like crying tonight.
Tomorrow I'm picking up Mr. Monty and plan on spending all day fussing over him and spoiling him!!
Goodnight all!!!

cows

There is no beach but there is a field with cows in it only a few steps from our building.

blah

I woke up completely stressed out this morning and stupid facebook statuses don't help matters.
I figured out a way around having to deal with that anymore, thank goodness!
All I want is to figure one thing out and to not have an ounce of feelings left for him.
I don't know what we're doing during the day today but tonight we're going to the Nashville Symphony to see a bluegrass band perform with them. When in Rome.
I just got a text message from a number I don't know letting me know that "she is going to move in with us." I have no idea who she or us is, and they didn't care to clarify when I asked.

exhausted

Why is it that vacations are always seem to be so tiring?
I'm really active at home but for some reason I am exhausted and ready to be back in Ohio.
I'm a wuss.

Gaylord Hotel

Sorry for another picture post so soon, but I found my cord for my blackberry so I thought I'd post the pictures from the Gaylord Hotel while I had it out. We're going to go back so that I can get better pictures with a real camera but these can do for now. And sorry that I sort of look like the devil in the one of me.

inside the hotel. all the rooms face onto this huge open plant filled area.

me in front of one of the fountains inside the hotel. i look evil.

pretty pink flowers.

a waterfall inside the hotel.

my mom in front of the canal. you can take a boat ride through the hotel!!!

pretty white flowers.

Nashville Zoo

Here are a few pictures from the Nashville Zoo:

This boy loved this little pygmy goat. He kept blowing in his ear and kissing him.

I almost stole this duck.

I wish my love bird was this big.

Giraffe spots are my favorite animal print.

Wild dogs have the cutest shaped ears, which you can't really see in this picture. Google them.

This goat had an awesome underbite.

Here it is.

More to come later.

vacation

We made it to Nashville.
So far I:
almost got stung on the face by a wasp
almost started a electrical fire
threw up in the super duper fancy Gaylord Hotel
cried because I miss my dog

I forgot my camera during our outing today, so I'll upload some blackberry pictures tomorrow and remember my camera from now on!

yay for almost perfect weekends!!!

Oh my, this weekend was fun fun fun and almost perfect minus a little hiccup yesterday.
Stephanie and Sabin invited Monty and I to Yellow Springs on Saturday to go hiking at John Bryan State Park, which is such a beautiful place. I hadn't been there in soooo very long and have never taken Monty, so it was pretty exciting for the both of us.
Yellow Springs is such a wonderful little hippie town and if I wasn't so dependent on the highway, I would totally live there. Dave Chappelle lives there and just bought a pretty big building that houses a lot of businesses. It has nothing but unique shop after shop, wonderful restaurants including a pizza place called HaHa's where you can get a falafel pizza (love it)  and overall just a nice laid back feel about it.
Ha, it sounds like I work for the town.
Here are a few pictures!!!!

The place is full of such great colors and textures, I can't wait to go back!!!

Yesterday was another nice day, Monty and I headed to Troy early and once we got there it didn't take long for all hell to break lose!!!
I put Monty in the backyard unaware that my dad had left one of the gates open, I didn't realize he was gone until almost two hours after we had arrived!!!
We all headed out looking for him and after an hour there was no sign of him and no one had seen him, then I get a call from my dad that he found him in our front yard soaking wet (there is a creek that run behind our house pretty that goes pretty much all through Troy)
It is a long silly story so I won't post it all, but I was sooo happy he came back. I would not have been able to go on my trip if we had not found him.
I told my mom I feel like the mother of a drug addict, and each time something like this happens with Monty I wonder if it is going to be the time I never find him or he gets hit.
The rest of the day went better, I got coffee and watched History Boys with Stephanie before heading home and watching a few episodes of Cougar Town on Hulu before falling asleep.

Well, I'm off to a teeth cleaning, looking for a swimsuit and ordering my dress for my sister's wedding.

blogger break at work

The weather here has cooled down quite a bit and we've even had some thunder/lightening storms, I am choosing to ignore this change because that is just how Ohio weather is...it will be nice and warm again soon and that is all that matters!!
Since Wednesday night I've been battling the blues, I have yet to let them take over so that is good...usually by now I'd be super sad. Sometimes the truth hurts and when it is something you already fear to be true about yourself it hurts even more and has left me wondering wtf is wrong with me?!
I was going to keep it all to myself because it is a bit embarassing what happened but I decided I needed to talk about it, so yesterday after work and trying on/picking out bridesmaid's dresses with my sister, I met up with Stephanie at Starbucks and had girl talk. It felt good to talk about it but I wanted to cry the whole time and felt silly that I am pretty much in the same situation with the guy this is all about as I was this time last year.
I was asked to work today, so here I sit with not a thing to do. Oh wells, it is money and I am missing a day next week due to my vacation!!
I don't believe I have mentioned on here that I am taking a much needed vacation, though it is not to my ideal place it is better than nothing and pretty much free for the most part. It is my belated graduation present from my mom, a trip to one of their timeshare locations. Originally, I wanted to go to the ocean but it is not a days drive away so I had to compromise(or give in) and go to Nashville...no where near the ocean but there is a pool.
I have been looking up fun things to do and have found a few things, but my funds are limited. My friend Rachel informed me that a tattoo artist that use to be in Dayton relocated to Nashville and I should get tattooed while I'm down there...so perhaps I will. He has done a lot of great work on Rachel as well as my sister and other people I know, he is talented and well respected so I feel comfortable looking into it. I do have a lot of ideas of things that I want and it has been many years since I have gotten anything done, maybe I can get my mom to get one since my dad got one on his vacation!!
Time to get back to the last little bit of work I have left!! I hope you all have a lovely Friday!

i love outside.

My days have consisted of being outside as much as possible, this includes hikes, picnics, laying in the grass, eating every meal on the porch, drinking coffee outside, playing in the front yard with Monty, going to a gallery hop, going on long walks and runs, going to the bark park and strolling around the taking pictures.

yay for lovely days

This week had been quite lovely so far and I am pretty excited for the rest of it. Not that I really have anything planned but the weather is going to be beautiful and I am just looking forward to more long walks with Monty, running outside, eating meals on the porch and driving with the windows down!
Tuesday after work Stephanie and I walked our dogs to Starbucks, but they were closed due to remodeling...bummer!! We decided to go to Caribou and while we were there Monty made a break for it!!! Not the first time he has gotten away from me, but we were on a very very very busy street right and it was sooo scary. Luckily he did not get hit and came back when Stephanie asked him if he wanted to see Sabin...he loves his Sabin!!
Yesterday I didn't have work so Stephanie and I hit up Target and then took the dogs to the bark park, they loved it. It had been quite some time since they had been to one together. After we got home, Monty and I spent pretty much every second together...we took walks, played in the front yard, went on a run, went to the bank, post office and store, took our dinner to Hills and Dales and had a picnic and then hiked one of the trails!! It spoiled him though and he was pretty sad when I left to watch Into The Wild at Ravi and Stephanie's.
Today is work and who knows what else, probably more Monty time...maybe some Rita's?!
